Nepal Clears Squatter Settlements in Kathmandu
Following government action to relocate squatters, residents of informal settlements in the Kathmandu Valley were displaced. According to the National Land Commission, there are approximately 450,000 legitimate landless families living in squatter conditions nationwide.
