Nepal: Eight dead from flash floods and landslides
A massive flood disaster in Nepal claimed at least eight lives and caused destruction to roads, bridges, and power plant projects in Himalayan regions near Tibet. On the Tibetan side of the border, 'serious casualties' and missing persons were also reported in the Gyirong district region due to landslides, prompting helicopters to be dispatched for rescue operations.
