Netherlands plans capital gains tax from 2028
The Dutch government is preparing the introduction of a tax on realized capital gains from 2028, covering stocks, bonds, and options. As part of this wealth tax reform, the tax-free allowance for savings and investments is to be reduced to 1,000 euros. The initiative was presented to parliament by Prime Minister Rob Jetten and other cabinet members.
