Another case of foot-and-mouth disease was registered at a livestock facility in Geri within the already affected area. The Ministry of Agriculture sent SMS notifications to livestock trading businesses, transporters, cattle, goat, pig and sheep breeders, and slaughterhouses to strengthen biosecurity measures in light of increased slaughter activity before Easter.
