New chairperson of European Banking Authority appointed
Francois-Louis Michaud has been officially appointed as chairperson of the European Banking Authority (EBA) and takes office on April 16, 2026. The former deputy chairperson was confirmed by the Council of the European Union following a selective procedure. The EBA regulates banking supervision in the EU.
