New Landfill Taxes Coming: €10/Tonne Increasing to €70 by 2039
New legislation to improve waste management in Cyprus introduces landfill taxes. The tax initially amounts to €10 per tonne and rises to €70 by 2039. The package is part of a green tax reform and must be approved by Parliament's plenary session by August 31st, otherwise EU funds of €23 million will be lost.
