New Law Facilitates Naturalization of Foreign Spouses
A new law is intended to simplify the registration of foreign spouses of Cypriot citizens abroad. The required period of residence in Cyprus is being reduced from three years to six months in certain cases. The law is titled 'Population Archive (Amending) Law of 2026' and has been submitted for public consultation.
