New program helps women overcome war trauma from 1974
A program called "Zoe Ksana" (Life Anew) is aimed at women suffering from the traumatization of the 1974 war. According to program director Angeliki Chatziloizou, intergenerational trauma is passed down from generation to generation and can lead to further conflicts between communities if left untreated. The workshop program is intended to help break this destructive cycle through forgiveness and psychological support, thereby contributing to reconciliation on the island.
