New Project "Raptors for LIFE" Protects Cyprus's Threatened Birds of Prey
Six organizations and state authorities are working together to protect three endangered raptor species in Cyprus: the Eurasian Griffon Vulture, the Steppe Eagle, and the Eagle Owl. The "Raptors for LIFE" project will officially launch in October 2026 and aims to combat poisoning, electrocution, collisions with energy infrastructure, gunshot wounds, and drowning in open water tanks.
