New RAF helicopters improve firefighting and rescue capability
The first of three new Airbus H145 Jupiter HC Mk2 helicopters of the RAF has departed from RAF Akrotiri base, marking the beginning of year-round emergency operations in Cyprus. The helicopters will be used for aerial wildfire suppression, search and rescue missions, emergency operations, troop transport, and medical evacuation.
