New SMS and Email Fraud Wave with Phishing
Multiple cases of internet fraud have been reported in which citizens receive deceptive messages (SMS or emails) falsely purporting to be from a well-known technology company. The messages claim that unknown parties have gained access to photos stored in a cloud storage facility, and the recipient is urged to take action. The fraudsters are attempting to steal personal data.
