New USA-EU Trade Agreements Enter into Force - Cyprus Played Key Role
Since July 1, 2026, the new trade agreements between the USA and EU have been in force, enabling duty-free imports from the USA into the European Union. Cyprus played a decisive role during its EU Council presidency in the previous six months in finalizing and securing adoption of the agreement by the European Parliament, although important conditions continue to be viewed as imbalanced.
