Nicosia Mayor Rejects Criticism of Makarios Street Traffic Closure
Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos disputed the claim that a traffic closure on Makarios Street was the main problem. The mayor emphasized to the Cyprus Mail that the Traffic Ministry requires that all changes to Makarios Street must first meet other prerequisites. He argued that this would "cause damage to residents and business owners of the street."
