Nicosia: Questionable Use of Noise Barriers
Noise barriers were installed on the bypass ring of Nicosia even in locations where the natural topography already serves as sufficient noise protection. Criticism is being raised that this measure is inefficient and wasteful, particularly since some of the nearest residential buildings are hundreds of meters away.
