Nicosia Urgently Needs Flood Protection Measures
After severe weather events on Saturday, the city of Nicosia is discussing the need for flood protection infrastructure. The districts of Engomi, Archangelos, and Pedias were particularly affected. Konstantinos Giorkatzis, head of the municipal water authority, explains that investments must be made in affected areas with structural problems or lacking infrastructure to prevent repeated flooding.
