Nigeria: Nearly 50 deaths from alcohol poisoning
At least 49 people in Nigeria have died after consuming poisoned alcohol. Authorities suspect methanol poisoning from homemade gin. The first deaths were reported in early September, and the death toll has continued to rise since then.
