Non-Performing Loans in Cyprus Exceed 18 Billion Euros
The Central Bank of Cyprus reports that loan acquisition companies held total loan portfolios of 19.35 billion euros at the end of 2025. Of this amount, 94 percent (approximately 18.2 billion euros) is classified as non-performing loans, while 1.1 billion euros is categorized as performing loans. The loan acquisition companies also hold property assets valued at just under 1 billion euros.
