Northern part criminalizes naming in court reports
The Turkish-Cypriot part has passed a law that prohibits journalists from naming prominent suspects who are being prosecuted in court. The law was passed with the votes of three coalition parties (UBP, DP and YDP) and thereby criminalizes reporting on such names.
