Obesity in Cypriot children: WHO warns of growing problem
According to WHO data, one-fifth of nine-year-olds in Cyprus are overweight, while one-quarter of four-year-olds are already overweight. The World Health Organization has published new guidelines that permit the approval of obesity medications for adolescents from age ten onwards, as well as bariatric surgery in severe cases under strict conditions.
