Oceana calls on EU to favor smaller fisheries
Following the conclusion of the high-level EU conference on island and coastal communities presided over by Cyprus, Oceana calls on the EU to ensure with the upcoming Ocean Act that smaller fisheries receive preferred access to coastal waters. This is intended to support local economies and strengthen resources, while pushing back large-scale industrial fishing fleets.
