Oil exports from the Gulf face renewed uncertainty
Although most tankers that were stranded in the Persian Gulf since the beginning of the Iran conflict have now departed, the vessels necessary for oil exports are not returning. A temporary US-Iran ceasefire in June released approximately 100 million barrels of crude oil that had been stored in the Gulf, but did not lead to lasting stability in tanker traffic.
