Over 100 Sex Offenders Released - Legislation Stalled
More than 100 individuals convicted of sexual offenses against minors have been released and are being monitored by the supervisory authority. However, this authority is understaffed and has no supervisors. A draft law that would strengthen its powers and tighten monitoring procedures has been pending between the justice authority and social services for two years.
