Over 110 new fish species discovered in the Coral Sea
A research expedition discovered more than 110 previously unknown fish species and invertebrates in the Coral Sea. The discoveries were made at depths between 200 meters and 3 kilometers in Australia's largest marine protected area. Scientists expect the number of new species to increase to over 200 once laboratory work is completed.
