Over 55,000 households burdened with distressed loans
According to the Central Bank of Cyprus, over 55,000 households and 9,200 companies have loans from loan purchase companies, with 94.5 percent of the portfolio remaining non-performing loans. This shows that the majority of problematic lending remains off bank balance sheets. The Central Bank published detailed information on this topic for the first time.
