Over one-third of Cypriot women experience violence
A Eurostat study shows that 36.1% of women in Cyprus have experienced physical or sexual violence in their lifetime – a figure above the EU average of 30.7%. Additionally, nearly 40% of women have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. The data comes from a comprehensive EU investigation on gender-based violence.
