Paks Nuclear Power Plant Reduces Output Due to Heat Record
Hungary's Paks nuclear power plant reduced the output of one of its four reactors by 243 MW as the temperature of the Danube rose during a record heat wave. The cooling water temperature below the power plant reached 29.7 degrees Celsius in the morning, exceeding permissible limits. The operator MVM announced the reduction on Saturday.
