Parliament Adopts Changes to Renewable Energy Law
The Cypriot Parliament passed amendments to the renewable energy law by a large majority. While deputies rejected the presidential veto on protective provisions for arable land by 26:15 votes, they unanimously decided to suspend the automatic zeroing of solar surpluses. The new regulation addresses concerns regarding constitutionality and separation of powers.
