Parliament allows government to decide on solar power surpluses
The Cypriot Parliament unanimously approved with 44 votes a regulation for photovoltaic systems that prevents surpluses from private solar installations from being wasted. This was seen as a partial acceptance of the President's remarks on a renewable energy promotion law and gives the Council of Ministers the authority to decide how to handle these surpluses.
