Parliament Approves €590,000 for New Armored Presidential Limousine
The parliamentary finance committee approved 590,000 euros for the purchase of a new armored presidential limousine. The vote was supported by representatives of the parties Disy, Akel, Diko, and Elam, while only Alma voted against. Cyprus has owned ten presidential limousines since independence, four of which are armored, with one originally designated as a 1977 gift from the USA for President Makarios.
