Parliament: Criticism of Lack of Transparency in Airbag Replacement Following Takata Scandal
The spokesperson for consumer organization POVEK, Kyriakos Moustakas, criticized before the parliamentary transport committee that vehicle manufacturers do not inform about the type of airbags being installed as replacements for the dangerous Takata airbags. He warned of thousands of vehicle recalls due to various problems and fears a repeat of the Takata airbag crisis. At the same time, he reported heartless reactions toward the mother of Kyriakos Oxinos, who died from a defective airbag.
