Parliament Passes Disability Law Unanimously
The Cypriot Parliament has unanimously passed a new disability law that enables the decoupling of disability benefits from the guaranteed minimum income. This opens access to state benefits for thousands of people with disabilities who previously received no support. The government will henceforth only be authorized to increase these benefits and allowances.
