Parliament passes penalties for e-scooter users
The Cypriot Parliament plans to introduce fines of up to 1,500 euros for underage e-scooter riders and up to 5,000 euros for their parents. The new legislative proposals aim to curb uncontrolled use of e-scooters and other mobility devices on roads, following nine accidents already reported this year with two fatalities and four serious injuries.
