Parliament reforms rules of procedure and Speaker election
The Cypriot Parliament votes today on comprehensive reforms to its rules of procedure. The changes include a new two-stage voting system for the election of the Parliament President, live broadcasting of committee sessions, and improved procedures for legislation between parliamentary sessions. Additionally, the prior appointment of a Deputy Speaker is being introduced.
