Parliament rejects referral of wind power ban on agricultural land
Parliament rejected the referral of the renewable energy sources law and the ban on wind power plants on fertile agricultural land submitted by the Presidency. Despite constitutional concerns of the executive, 15 MPs (11 from DISY and 4 from DIKO) voted against the referral. The law remains in force.
