Paros: Rediscovery of ancient marble quarries
The long-neglected marble quarries of Paros, which were once important sources of raw materials for ancient Greek artworks, are now being rediscovered and preserved. Six local Parian associations are working to preserve and promote the island's cultural heritage after the quarries had been completely abandoned by 2022.
