Patriarch conducts foot-washing ceremony in Jerusalem
Patriarch Theophilos III held the traditional foot-washing ceremony in Jerusalem on Maundy Thursday after the Church of the Holy Sepulchre reopened following a closure period. The holy site, where Christians believe Jesus Christ was buried and resurrected, as well as other sacred sites in Jerusalem's Old City, had previously been closed or only partially accessible.
