Payment Default Registrations Significantly Declined in 2025
The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) reports a sharp decline in average monthly registrations of individuals and businesses with dishonored checks in 2025 compared to 2024. Registrations in the main file decreased by 47 percent and in a secondary file by 23 percent, indicating an improvement in payment capacity.
