Payment Fraud in Cyprus Significantly Exceeds European Average
Payment fraud in Cyprus increased by 16 percent to nearly 3.7 million euros in the second half of 2025, while the number of incidents declined by 5 percent. Approximately 14,000 fraud cases were recorded overall, with Cyprus's losses per credit transfer three times the European average.
