Perseid meteor shower lights up Cypriot sky
Amateur astronomers in Cyprus have the opportunity in August to observe the Perseid meteor shower, which reaches its peak on August 12 and 13, as deputy mayor of Nicosia and astronomer Chrysanthos Fakas announced on Wednesday. The meteor shower began on July 17 and lasts until August 24. The best viewing time coincides with several events, including the Antilalos Music Festival.
