Petrol prices in Cyprus rise significantly above level prior to tax cut
Petrol prices in Cyprus have now risen considerably higher than before the government's tax cut of 8.33 cents per litre. Unleaded petrol cost an average of 1.74 euros per litre on Tuesday – 43 cents more than in February. The consumer protection authority is documenting this development and notes that in some cases the price increases have substantially exceeded the original tax cut.
