Phishing fraud: 47-year-old loses 10,000 euros via GESY fake
Cypriot police are investigating a new case of internet fraud against a 47-year-old woman who received an SMS phishing attack posing as a renewal notification from the National Health System (GESY). By following the fraudulent instructions, access was gained to her bank account and 10,000 euros were stolen.
