Pilot Accidentally Transmits Aircraft Hijacking Signal
A pilot of an aircraft operated by Electra Airways for LOT Polish Airlines flying from Warsaw to Israel accidentally transmitted a hijacking alarm. After activation of the signal, the aircraft requested an emergency landing in Paphos, prompting Israeli fighter jets to take off. The aircraft subsequently turned around and the alarm was lifted.
