Planning delays increase housing costs by 60,000 euros
Approval delays in the planning and licensing phase increase average housing prices in Cyprus by approximately 60,000 euros per apartment, without increasing the profit margin of developers. According to the chairman of the Cyprus Developers Association (CPDA), Yiannis Misirlis, this hidden cost factor is frequently overlooked in public debate about housing affordability.
