Police Officer Shoots Wife – Calls for Psychological Monitoring
A 55-year-old police officer shot his 46-year-old wife in Zakaki, Limassol, and subsequently took his own life. The woman remains in critical condition. The investigation focuses on financial difficulties, personal differences, and previous recommendations against the officer. Psychologist Stella Katsari is now calling for a formal system of continuous psychological evaluations for police officers when renewing firearms licenses.
