Police subject to stricter sick leave controls in public service
The planned sick leave reform is intended to tighten control over absences in the Cypriot Public Service. Pasydy union president Stratis Mattheou supported measures against abuse on Friday but warned that legitimate medical claims of employees must not be undermined. The police face the strictest controls in this regard.
