Police Warn of New Telephone Fraud Wave
The Cypriot Police have warned the public about a new fraud method in which fraudsters pose as police officers and call citizens to request banking information. Authorities have already received several complaints from citizens who received such fraudulent calls. The fraudsters specifically identify themselves as employees of the Cybercrime Department.
