Polish President rejects laws for LGBTQ rights
The Polish President rejected two draft laws that would have introduced civil partnership contracts for couples in community. The rejection is a setback for LGBTQ rights in one of the few EU countries with limited protections for same-sex couples. Prime Minister Donald Tusk had come to office in 2023 with promises of reforms on abortion and LGBTQ rights.
