Potato Harvest in Europe Severely Impacted by Extreme Weather
Analysis by the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit shows that extreme weather conditions in summer 2026 will reduce potato production by approximately 3.5 million tons in many European countries. These losses could cost producers up to 800 million euros at current price levels.
