Power Grid Emergency Mechanism Activated Due to Power Shortages
The Cyprus Electricity Authority (RAEK) and the Energy Ministry have activated the emergency power supply mechanism (Article 34) to address potential power shortages. This was done as part of reviewing worst-case scenarios, with offers for new power generation facilities also being examined.
