President decides on foreclosure laws independently of elections
President Nikos Christodoulides announced that decisions on foreclosure laws will be made on the basis of Cyprus's long-term interests, not in consideration of the upcoming parliamentary elections. He is currently examining whether the laws should be returned to Parliament, while taking institutions and the constitution into account.
